Bishop D. Walter Rogers, Jr., most affectionately known as Bishop D. is a native of Washington, DC raised in Montgomery County, MD. Bishop D. came to his Christ awareness (salvation) at 5 years old being baptized shortly thereafter. Bishop Rogers’ character is that of a mighty man of valor, whose heart and passion is built on the foundation of serving the beloved offspring of God. 

 

Bishop D. Walter Rogers, Jr. is the Spiritual Leader of Beyond Church located in Silver Spring Maryland. Bishop serves as the President and CEO of the Kingdom’s View Assembly. Under his leadership, Bishop is a proud Spiritual Leader, Spiritual Father, Mentor, Confidant,  Cousin, uncle, God-father, and so many more. Out of all of this, Bishop Rogers considers himself a servant first! Bishop D. stands boldly by the Vision of Beyond Church, Being You Overcoming Negativity Daily (Hebrews 6:1-2 NIV).  The mission of Beyond Church can be described as a HOSPITAL, Helping Others Sharing Past Ideal Tools while Apply Love. More succinctly, Beyond Church’s mission is rooted in Giving, Teaching, and Healing. Beyond Church has celebrated 4 years in Kingdom Ministry. This is the year of work and  Bishop holds in highest consciousness to establish 4 annual seasons of community engagement, one being Bishop’s Day of Service where more than 50 families will be fed and given basic necessities to stay warm and hydrated. Bishop D. Walter Rogers, Jr. and Beyond Church MD are believing God to continue to expand the Kingdom through growth (financially, numerically, and Spiritually. Bishop D. Walter Rogers, Jr., actively known for his heart of Praise and worship hold the vision to have a consistent Praise and Worship Leader and a Miracle Building by October 2022!

 

Bishop Rogers is definitely one of the most active millennial pontificators of the word of the millennial generation. His ecumenical approach to captures the minds of all that are around him with his words As a result many have come to their Christ consciousness understanding that they too have access to the Kingdom. Bishop D. has an unquenchable desire to mentor the younger generation and develop their true and authentic approach to life. It is with this passion and compassion for service, he was allowed to obtain a grant that would allow him to serve 100 families with a Chromebook and back-to-school supplies. 

 

Bishop Rogers is an advocate and the epitome of what praise and worship look like daily. Throughout his pre-teen years, God has been preparing him to teach and preach the word, giving his very first sermon at 15 years old. Upon graduation from high school his unshakeable love for God, himself, and everyone else led him to Pensacola, Florida where he attended Pensacola Christian College in conjunction with Liberty University. He pursued studies in Business Administration and Religion with a fundamental emphasis on Pastoral Ministries. Throughout his 18 year tenure in the ministry of preaching and teaching God’s word, it was apparent that his gifting in pontificating the word of God was unique and ecumenical, crossing boundaries of the “church” and the “world”. In fact, many people had accepted the challenge to see, enter, and inherit Kingdom promises by self-examination. 

 

Bishop D. Walter Rogers, Jr.’s life is of that which reflects the mandate given in the book of Isaiah 61:1 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.” Before he entered the Episcopacy, he had occupied and served in almost every capacity in the church/local assembly. Some of these include but are not limited to, ushering, multimedia, church planting, executive staff as the assistant, associate, and interim Pastor. Bishop Rogers serves under the auspices of his Spiritual Father and Presiding Prelate of the Church of the Everlasting Kingdom (COTEK), Bishop Dr. Doral R Pulley. Bishop Rogers serves as the Vicar General on the National Executive Board and is responsible for the operations of the covering. 

 

Among all of these accomplishments, Bishop D. Walter Rogers, Jr. considers himself a servant to all people. At a young age he has developed, nurtured, and planted ministries throughout the U.S. He has preached across America. Most of all He gives his all to people through his servant leadership model, where he loves/serves GOD first, then Love Himself, and loves and serves everyone around him.
